love shooting NASP®. Educators can use this love of archery to promote and recognize
better outcomes in the classroom. Many times, students who are on the “bubble” of
performing better academically find archery as the reason to give the extra effort
needed to succeed academically.

Kitchen Science & Experimental Cooking- Catherine Kendall
This class is a great precursor to Kitchen Adventures. We will start with learning how to measure ingredients properly and learn why this matters. We will be using foods to explore the scientific method, explore chemistry in the kitchen, and even a little biology. We will have instruction on nutrition, flavor pairings, and textures. We will be creating, inventing, and investigating. This class will purposefully be kept small in order for everyone to have hands on experience.
**I do try to keep my classes mostly dye free (there may be some dyes involved), and they are always nut-free.

Lego Math Adventures & Games – Kassidy Rudeseal
Welcome to LEGO Math Adventure, an exciting hands-on math class where students use LEGO bricks to explore, build, and truly understand mathematical concepts in creative and meaningful ways. Using the engaging Brick Math curriculum along with games, challenges, and engineering-style activities, students will discover that math can be active, visual, and fun.
Throughout the course, students will investigate important upper elementary math concepts through interactive building projects and collaborative problem-solving. Topics may include multiplication and division strategies, fractions, geometry, measurement, area and perimeter, patterns, place value, logic puzzles, and introductory engineering concepts.
Students will use LEGO bricks as tools to model mathematical ideas, solve real-world problems, and strengthen critical thinking skills. Each class encourages creativity, teamwork, and perseverance as students participate in hands-on challenges, small group activities, and guided explorations. By combining math with building and design, students gain a deeper understanding of concepts while building confidence in their problem-solving abilities. This class is especially great for visual learners, hands-on learners, and students who enjoy creating, experimenting, and thinking outside the box.
Whether building structures, solving puzzles, or completing STEM-inspired challenges, students will see how math can be used to design and build amazing things. Prerequisites: Students should have a solid understanding of basic addition and subtraction facts, and the ability to work independently on multi-step activities. This class is best suited for students who are already comfortable with 2nd–4th grade level math skills and are ready to strengthen and advance their understanding through hands-on application and problem-solving.

Lit & Legos – Aimee Hoelscher
What's not to love about books and blocks? This class combines them both!
In this class, we will read aloud a short piece of literature, and then the students will be given a fun Lego
challenge relating to that piece of literature. We will read fun poetry, short stories, fairy tales, holiday
stories, and more.
The goal of this class is to introduce the students to different types of literature, increase
comprehension, and encourage creativity. We'll even have some discussion on story elements
(themes/morals, setting, characters) associated with the literature.
Students should be able to follow directions and sit still and listen to the stories.
All reading will be done in class, so there will be no homework or outside reading.

Masterminds Construction – Priscilla Sotelo
Masterminds is a great interactive science class that will consist of challenges that students will
have to solve as a team and at times independently. This Elementary STEM class explores
Science, Engineering and Math Concepts and is very hands on. Students will be challenged by
constructing structures such as different types of towers, roller-coasters and bridges using
everyday items. They will learn to understand shapes and materials when building. Using what
we have learned our final project will consist of your child's choice of a truss or suspension
bridge.
